We’re doing our best to have live HDTV coverage (Pre-race shows, practice, qualifying, plus the actual races) right under the tent, but if you’re headed for the grandstands, you might want to take something with you.
The NASCAR FanView will work anywhere on the grounds and whatever is televised will be right in your hands. You can easily rent the Fanview and a couple of headsets so that you can hear it no matter how close you sit to the track.
A scanner package can accomodate 1 or 2 people, possibly even a third (check with a Racing Electronics representative) so that you can listen to the broadcast in an otherwise noisy grandstand or from the infield. Both of these packages will let you listen to TV coverage, radio coverage and even race team (driver/spotter/crew chief) communications so you can get down to the actual communications going on during the entire race.
You can save a few dollars if you rent in advance online. Here is Racing Electronics website, specifically their rental section. You’ll likely have the opportunity to chat live with a representative if you have any questions: http://www.racingelectronics.net/index.php?event=store&action=products&item=rentals
