Our arrival on friday night was a GRAND ENTRANCE. Our Tow Vehicle had broken down about 14 miles from the racetrack. Three tow trucks later, we were towed into the wagon wheel by a GIANT tow truck with flashing lights announcing our arrival. Our 19′ bambi was dwarfed by the size of the truck. Of course our spot was right in front of the campfire, as we arrived at twilight. In spite of the rocky start, we were determined to get there.
There was so much to do and see. I met so many new people, all with one thing in mind, having a great time. I had never seen a NASCAR event, this was my first AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.
Going into the pits before a race is not to be missed.
We had great seats in the grandstand, but our view not far from the bambi was great too, it was hard to choose where to watch from.
We have to give major thanks to the Raceway, as they bent over backwards to help us every step of the way, giving us special permission to have a tow truck take us in. We caught up with some old friends & made some new ones. Joe Fodor kept us fed in the morning, we watched a major fireworks display and had lots of laughs. Leo, great job as usual.
We are definitely going next year.
